It's hard to talk about yourself, so here is what others have said about Paul:
Here is what others have said about Amber:
Jillian is our General Manager. She manages all Operations, new Dog Evaluations & employee relations. If you have a question about your dog's behavior or experience at The Barker House, Jillian is who you'll talk to!
Sam is our Client Services Manager, managing all scheduling, payments, phone/text/email responses & facility tours. Sam's friendly face is the first one you see when you walk in the lobby!
Emily is one of our Daycare & Boarding Attendants. She loves learning the dogs personalities and can often be heard having conversations with them in her group!
Jill is one of our Daycare & Boarding Attendants. Her schedule includes the weekends, so she forms strong bonds with our hotel pups, making sure they're having fun while Mom & Dad are away!
Mark is one of our Daycare & Boarding Attendants who keeps the dogs occupied during their afternoons with us! He absolutely loves the dogs & keeps the play groups fun!
TJ is our Morning Opener so he gets to say good morning to all of our boarding pups! He sets everything up for the day, and makes sure that everyone starts their day on a positive note!
Ashley is one of our morning Daycare & Boarding Attendants. She is wonderful at engaging with the dogs and managing the morning chaos as everyone arrives for their day of school!
Katie is one of our evening Daycare & Boarding Attendants. She has such a sweet and positive attitude that the dogs react so well to. She gets to send our boarding dogs off to sleep for the night before she leaves
Ziggy lived in a shelter for over 3 years, being returned twice for not being suited for kids or the elderly...he's a Chihuahua! We met him while volunteering & right away he rubbed up against Paul instead of biting, his usual response. The staff was amazed that we wanted to take him home & even more amazed every time they get an update showing how sweet & happy & spoiled he is, 9 years later!
*named for Ziggy Stardust
Paul likes to say that Porter was named after his favorite beer & steak, hah! He was a Father's Day surprise for Paul! He came home at 8 weeks as a little fur ball, and won everyone's hearts immediately. Porter is 7 years old and is literally the sweetest, most kind hearted, laid back 100 pounds of floof you will ever meet. Also the ring bearer in our wedding! We are so lucky to have him in our lives!
*named after Paul's favorite steak & beer
Rigby is 5 years old and totally spoiled! We were so lucky to get her from the shelter at 10 weeks old, the last of a litter of 9 from Georgia. Smart as a whip, total daddy's girl, loves rides in the truck, can play fetch in the yard for hours on end, & is an expert frisbee catcher. Also a bed hog.
*named for Eleanor Rigby, The Beatles
Cooper is the baby of the family at 4 years old. Should've known better than to enter another establishment with puppies in need, but of course Amber fell in love with Cooper as soon as their eyes met. Paul, being the amazing husband and father that he is, threw his hands up and said "I have no control", so Cooper came home! He is a ball of energy, has the most amazing ears (aka satellite dishes), is the best snuggler and Rigby's best friend.
*named Cooper because he was an impulse adoption & that's the first name that we could agree on quickly
Ruby joined our family in 2021, and she will be turning 8 years old at her birthday party in April! Ruby is a complete ball of love, greeting everyone she sees with a smile and unending licks. She loves playing with her pack in the backyard and snoring with us on the couch. She has fit into the family perfectly.
*Ruby came with her name so we kept it
Bailey is our newest addition, joining our family in 2022 (we have an adoption addiction)! Bailey is a 4 year old, 150-pound total lovebug. She wants all of the attention she can get, and if you're not careful she'll knock you over with her hugs! She fits into the family like she's always been here...we are in love with her.
*Bailey came with her name so we kept it
